Expanding Access to Nature Play Through Design and Collaboration
We work regionally to help other organizations design nature playspaces on their own sites. This process includes design charrettes, stakeholder meetings, and complete conceptual design deliverables.

The Children at Play Network works at the community level to advocate for free play in the outdoors so that every child has a place in nature where they feel free, safe, healthy, empowered and joyful.
Ways to Play & Get Involved
Play Days & Trainings
Free play in nature is about more than just the physical environment. Activation of the space is key. CAPN hosts and facilitates a range of programs, including Free Play Days (at Playcosystem and elsewhere) and Free Play Facilitator Trainings.

Playcosystem
Playcosystem, our on-site play laboratory here at Bernheim Forest, is a 17-acre nature playground, designed in-house and custom built as a testing ground for unique nature playscape ideas. Come visit us!
Volunteer With Us
We meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re looking for help creating storytelling for funders around your nature playground project, or you need full playscape designs and a liaison with the contractor or architect, we will partner with you to help you achieve your goals.
