Whether they can visit Bernheim’s Playcosystem or not, we want to expand access to play through playground consultations and design.

Expanding Access to Nature Play

We work regionally to help other organizations design nature play spaces on their own sites. This process includes design charrettes, stakeholder meetings, and complete conceptual design deliverables.

The CAPN has worked with schools, parks, and other organizations regionally and nationally to design custom nature playspaces that meet the individual site’s needs, budgets, and visions.

We meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re looking for help creating storytelling for funders around your nature playground project, or you need full playscape designs and a liaison with the contractor or architect, we will partner with you to help you achieve your goals.

Learn About Our Work

The CAPN takes an experimental approach to design.
Using our own 17-acre nature playground as a
laboratory for exploring new nature play ideas, we
gain valuable design and building experience that
allows us to transfer this knowledge to our
consulting services for other organizations. We are
pushing the boundaries on what a playground can
be, how to make nature play more accessible, and
how to incorporate research-supported principles
into our designs.
