The Children at Play Network is looking for volunteers to join the CAPN Team! Volunteers for the Children at Play Network serve an important role by helping to maintain Playcosystem so it’s PLAY ready. They also act as Ambassadors for CAPN by providing information about the benefits of outdoor free play to parents and caregivers at Playcosystem. Connecting children to nature is our mission and our ability to offer more opportunities for free play is greatly enhanced with a network of volunteers.
There are two opportunities to volunteer with the Children at Play Network:
- As member of the Landscape Team
- As a Play Ambassador
And you may do both!
Volunteers for both teams must first complete a general Bernheim volunteer orientation. Play Ambassadors must additionally complete a CAPN orientation that helps you understand more about the research and philosophies behind Playcosystem.
The next virtual Bernheim orientation will be held on August 13th from 10:30-11 a.m. You may register on Bernheim’s volunteer website, VolunteerHub.
The CAPN Orientation for those choosing to become Play Ambassadors is also Aug. 13 from 12-1:30 p.m. Register at VolunteerHub.
If you are interested in joining the CAPN Landscape Team, and have already been through the Bernheim Volunteer Orientation, you may register for any of the following dates on VolunteerHub.
