In 2014 and 2015 Bernheim worked with the staff of Louisville Grows and community members in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville to envision and plan a free play area in the Shippingport Community Garden. Through a number of free play day events and group meetings the free play area in the garden was developed as an adventure play area.
The Children at Play staff works with community members to plan out the adventure play space.
