The benefits of loose parts play holds true for infants and toddlers, yet we rarely talk about how to offer loose parts safely to our youngest children. Join us as we discover the definition of loose parts, what to consider and how to use loose parts in your infant or toddler classroom, and how to turn loose parts play into a vital part of your play programming. Registration deadline for this training is Wednesday, November 9th. This workshop requires a minimum threshold of participants so please help us spread the word or get a friend to register along with you. This training is state-approved (KY) for two hours of ECE-TRIS professional development credit. Certificates of completion can be mailed to participants from outside of Kentucky at your request to assist you in self applying for professional development credit.

Location: Virtual, Zoom link provided day before event.

Everyone has different knowledge of and experiences with play. One commonly defined barrier to offering valuable play experiences for children is hesitation on the part of well meaning adults that simply haven’t been exposed to the value of play in the healthy development of children. Learning how to communicate about play value is the focus of this workshop. Participants will work together to develop methods and specific strategies for communicating the importance of play with parents and adult decision makers. We’ll build a network of play advocates! Registration deadline for this training is Wednesday, December 7th.
