In late October Melissa Rue ended her time with the Children at Play Network. We wish Melissa well as she moves on to explore new challenges and passions and thank her for five years of service to the CAPN. Kim Tabler, who was already working with the CAPN as a credentialed early careĀ and education workshop leader has expanded her role to include managing communications through our social media networks, CAPN website updates, and to focus on expanding communication with CAPN members. You will start to notice changes to the website very soon. If you know of stories that the CAPN should be sharing within our regional community, or if you have ideas for social media posts, we invite you to reach out to Kim Tabler and let her know about them. Our goal is to bring all the wonderful people and programs that value outdoor free play into a single network that supports a larger regional vision for play.
Kim still remains the go-to person for workshops and staff training for play based learning. Find out more about workshops here.
The Children at Play Network Vision:
The Children at Play Network works at the community level to advocate for free play in the outdoors so that every child has a place in nature where they feel free, safe, healthy, empowered, and joyful.
