CAPN Director Claude Stephens will discuss the many benefits of free play for early education on May 23, 2020 during the Red Oaks Forest School Spring Fest 2020, which will be a virtual event this year to support Healthy at Home Initiatives.
Coffee with Claude will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23 during this free Facebook live event which continues on May 24th. Many educators, artists, musicians and innovators in the forest school movement have donated their time to help participants learn, explore, unwind and play together in this new way. See the full schedule of events and line-up here.
Claude will focus on strategies that help adults protect space for play without directing how children play and why free play is so important for healthy growth.
