California Shelter Building – Report from Afar

A Parent and Child Moment in Nature Shared

One of our favorite things is when friends of the Children at Play Network provide us with glimpses into the way they play. Cayo Alba, a friend from California recently sent us a beautiful photograph her husband Michael Frick took of their son Navarro beside a tree branch shelter the family constructed one sunny day not long ago. The photograph speaks for itself but here’s what Cayo wrote:

“Navarro and I spent an afternoon building this fort out of driftwood. It was mostly quiet work and concentration as we worked balancing heavy beams and constructing the roof. It was a sweet day with my boyo!”
