Interns from Brown Forman visited Bernheim this week to help us with tasks where many hands make light work. It was one of those hot July days when the temperatures were in the mid-90s and the work wasn’t all that light. Six people from the larger group helped move many wheelbarrow loads of river rock into stream sections of Playcosystem. That will create a more pleasant landscape, support play, and help improve water quality as storm water runs through the steams. One of the belief statements of the Children at Play Network is healthy play environments are part of the foundation of healthy communities. You can’t build community without support from the people in that community. Bernheim is honored to be in community with Brown Forman and we greatly appreciate the person power of the interns that helped us out in Playcosystem. Rock on. Literally.
