The Children at Play Network is pleased to host Peter Gray, a leading expert in Free Play at this year’s IdeaFestival. Gray, author of Free to Learn: Why Unleashing the Instinct to Play Will Make Our Children Happier, More Self-Reliant, and Better Students for Life, is a featured presenter on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the 2017 festival that celebrates curiosity.
A developmental psychologist, Gray will share how free play is the primary means by which children learn to control their lives, solve problems, get along with peers and become emotionally resilient.
A free play tent on the lawn outside the Kentucky Center for the Arts will invite participants to engage in play.
