Playcosystem Pole Scramble Gets Installed

One of the last major elements of Playcosystem was installed recently. We have know all along that this play experience would transform the space visually but it has exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to see children scrambling all over these newly placed vertical poles. The intent is to create an opportunity for children to navigate more than 40 vertical poles, ropes and balance beams as part of the larger “hot lava” pathway that circumnavigates the entire zone 1 area of Playcosystem.

It involved obtaining locust poles – great for in-ground construction without chemical preservatives – and erecting them in a thoughtful but seemingly organic arrangement for physical exploration without ever touching the ground.

The Bernheim operations team really had a great time of figuring this all out. You could see the team of grown men pulling all this together reliving their childhood. Very soon we will get to see loads of children all over this part of Playcosystem. Below is a photo essay of the pole scramble getting created.
