Organizations that are approved for Play Planning Grants receive services, not cash. In some cases limited funds may be made available for first steps after the planning process. Some of the free services, such as staff training, may be a requirement of accepting the planning grant. Other services may be optional. The specifics will vary with each recipient but are likely to include a minimum of two Play Strategy workshops (PS1-PS5) and the Play Planning workshop: PP1 -Planning to Plan. A full list of play-based training opportunities can be found here.
Subsequent to acceptance of your proposal and prior to the start of the planning process the Network will draft a Letter of Understanding that will set forth the particulars, including what services are optional and what services may be required in order to move forward. We work with each recipient to determine a plan that makes the most sense for your team. We recommend reading over the sample Letter of Understanding before applying.
