Louisville Nature Center Opens a New Nature Play Area

Saturday, June 1st at the Louisville Nature Center from 11:00-5:00

3745 Illinois Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky, 40213

Students from Male High School and staff of the Louisville Nature Center will cut the ribbon on a new nature play area that was the result of a student led service learning project. It’s great to know more nature play opportunities are sprouting up. There’s lots more going on that day as well including a tree giveaway. There will be 1,000 trees for Jefferson County residents sponsored by the Division of Community Forestry. Not only can you get your nature play on – you can plant a tree and help cut down on Louisville’s heat island challenge. You can find out more about the event HERE.
