Lift a Life Foundation supports the next chapter in Bernheim’s Children at Play Network
Seeds for Urban Play
The CAPN is delighted to have received new funding from the Lift a Life Foundation that will allow us to work in West Louisville exploring ways to make access to outdoor play, nature play and free play more equitable. In the past months we have worked with Play Cousins Collective to begin the relationship building that is vital to true collaboration. We can already tell that Play Cousins has a great deal to teach us and we only hope that we will be just as helpful to them. The grant period doesn’t begin until 2019 but we are already thinking about some of the possibilities. One thing we CAN tell you is that part of the planning will include a conference on urban play that will take place in Louisville sometime in 2019. Let us know if that might be of interest to you and we can keep you up to date.
Here’s a photo of Kristen Williams (L), director of Play Cousins Collective and Melissa Rue (R), Coordinator of the Children at Play Network discussing the great work that lies ahead for both organizations. This is exciting.
