2018 Nature Play Training Institutes

Would you like to learn more about the benefits of free play for children and how to incorporate more of it into your teaching practice and program?   Curious about loose parts and the benefits of prescriptive vs. non-prescriptive materials? Would you like to add more natural elements into your current play space  or create a new one?  Wondering about all of this as well as how and where to begin?

Starting in March, the Children at Play Network will host four Nature Play Training Institutes that offer early childhood educators and interested advocates answers to these questions and more, as well as hands-on experiences to bring these concepts and practices to life. The two-hour programs will be held at Bernheim and are state-approved for continuing education for early childhood educators through the ECE-TRIS system.  They’re also great opportunities to network and support the outdoor play movement throughout the region.  Each workshop is $20.  Registration must be made in advance by calling 502-955-8512.
